Our Trip Home

Well, I hope you like pictures! We've had a busy week or so traveling to see family. We started with visiting Colin, Stacey and Ellie in Wisconsin. It was Ellie's baptism and we were thrilled to be godparents and to get to spend some time with them again.

Here are the boys and their little cousin.

Grandma and Grandpa with the kids.

Aunt Stacey giving rides ;)

Uncle Colin and Brendan racing through the sprinklers while Aiden warmed up.

The beautiful family before the service started - Ellie catching a few zzz's.

Ellie with the bonnet and dress made by Grandma.

I wish I had a better picture of this... Brendan fell in love with Stacey's sister Sara. He couldn't get enough of her and she is awesome with kids! He has been calling her "Aunt Sara" since we came home. Here they are working on a puzzle.

After the baptism, we headed up to St. Jacques for a couple days. Here's Brendan picking blueberries at Uncle Levi and Aunt Lindsey's.

And then we went in the garage...Uncle Levi is super cool and has a drumset. The boys had tons of fun making "music".

The "music" was a little loud so cousin Max and Grandma Donna hung out in the yard.

Us with cousin Max - hmmm... this is what we'd look like with another boy!

Aiden handing Uncle Ashley his empty beer bottle.

Aunt Lindsey has a couple cute bunnies to feed.

I had to include this one - if you've watch Spongebob at all, you'll get it. Aiden took a couple bites of green bean and this is what happened - Plankton!

One of the many rides the kids went on while visiting.

Uncle Ashley arrived from Alaska after the baptism and we were able to spend some time with him. Brendan hadn't seen him in several years and Aiden had never met him so it was a great time.

Aiden was up early almost every day. Here he is hanging out with cousin Max.

Then, we moved our travels to Gulliver to see Grandma Martha and Grandpa Wayne. The lake and all the boats are very popular with the boys. Here are some pics of the kids and the paddle boat. Brendan can reach the pedals if we scoots way down.

Here's Aiden going for a canoe ride when we were looking for a cool stump to bring back for our aquarium. He had this thing about wearing the swim goggles all the time!

Pulling some carrots for dinner.

The paddle boat and canoe are cool, but bring on the motor boat! Better yet when Grandpa lets them drive.

Two of the evenings the weather was nice enough for bonfires. The boys loved making smores.

The last day it was cloudy and rainy, but we did get an early start and get some fishing in before the weather got too bad. The fishing was great for kids - we could hardly get the hook in the water before there was another fish on it. Of course, nothing was over three inches, but they didn't care ;) My mom even snagged a little one.
