Catching Up!

Well, I haven't written anything lately - and not because we haven't been busy! If anything, we've been on the go so much I haven't had time to sit at the computer and collect my thoughts let alone get pictures off the camera.

Brendan's been in summer preschool for the last two weeks; tomorrow is his last day. Today they all got to bring their bikes to school and ride them around the parking lot and they were visited by a police officer to talk with them about safety. Tomorrow one of the local fire departments will be stopping i. Last week, they had a visit from a zookeeper and some animals like hedgehogs, quails, treefrogs and newts.

Aiden is doing a super job of singing his ABCs (I'll have to get a video of it) and while in the store the other day he just started counting and made it to 12 - he even got the number 2! For some reason, he usually skips it.

Yesterday we had a new roof put on our house...a very noisy job! At least we weren't doing it - it was 85 degrees out! They were here by 7am and packed it up just after 9pm. The roof looks really good and it's nice just to have it done. We also finished staining our deck over the weekend; another big job. We should be able to go another two years before we have to do the railings again - they take the longest. This is the latest in the year we've ever put our deck furniture out.

Here are some photos from Father's Day.

The photo frame Brendan made at daycare for Wellyn.

The boys went shopping at Lowe's - a sure hit with dad! They took turns "helping" him open the gifts.

Everyone pitched in with the big gift.

Today was another hot day and with the deck and roof done, we put the pool out for the boys to play in.

They took turns jumping in...doesn't seem like it would be a soft landing...

It's Party Time!

We've had another busy week...visiting with friends, babysitting and 2 birthday parties this weekend! At the beginning of the week, Aiden just randomly started singing during dinner that "I know what to do in a storm"...here's a little clip of it:

The first birthday party of the weekend was down in Burnsville at our old neighbor's house. Our friend Keaton turned 7 and the kids had a great time playing in their backyard and making crafts.

On Sunday we were off to Maple Grove for our friend Audrey's birthday party - she turned 3! We had a great time playing games, wading in the water (which was icy!), eating, and playing.

Graduation Getaway

This past weekend we headed back to the UP for some visiting. We got to meet our new nephew, Maxwell Jeffery, and isn't he just a cutie! He was pretty sleepy during our visit, but we all had fun holding him anyway.

Grandma and Grandpa Pomeroy watched Aiden and Brendan for a few days and Wellyn and I headed off to the Appleton area to visit our neice Ellie. She is growing so fast and liked Uncle Wellyn doing pat-a-cake with her feet.

After a night there, we headed back up to the Peshtigo area to help get food ready for our nephew Bryce's graduation from high school. We had a fun time with everyone, making food, opening gifts, and hanging out. The next day was the "big day"...graduation! The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time at the dinner - good food, good company.

After the dinner, we headed back up to the UP to get some sleep, hug up our boys and then re-pack our car to come back to MN. Here are the boys with Grandma Pomeroy before we left. They had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa while we were away, four-wheeling, hauling dirt and wood, going to church, visiting with their Great Aunt Diane and Great Uncle Russ, and having ice cream!

For those of you interested in looking at more pictures, I'll be posting more on the website later this week under the Spring 2008 kids link.
